Basic information
WARNING
- When changing or replacing tires on the Nissan Rogue, be sure all four tires are the same type (Summer, All-Season, or Snow) and of identical construction.
- A NISSAN dealer can provide guidance on correct tire type, size, speed rating and availability for the Nissan Rogue.
- Replacement tires may have a lower speed rating than the factory-equipped tires, so never exceed the tire’s maximum speed rating.
- Using tires not originally specified by NISSAN may affect TPMS operation.
- Always install tires of the same type, size, brand, construction and tread pattern on all four wheels to maintain proper handling on the Nissan Rogue.
All season tires
Some Nissan Rogue models are equipped with all-season tires, providing balanced performance in varied conditions including light snow and ice.
All-season tires are marked ALL SEASON and/or M & S (Mud and Snow). Snow tires generally offer better grip in severe winter conditions.
Summer tires
Summer tires may be equipped on certain versions of the Nissan Rogue to enhance dry-road performance. However, their grip is significantly reduced on snow or ice.
Summer tires do not carry the M & S traction rating on the sidewall.
If winter driving is expected, NISSAN recommends installing ALL SEASON or SNOW tires on all four wheels.
Snow tires
If snow tires are needed, choose tires matching the original equipment size and load rating to preserve safety and handling.
Snow tires usually have lower speed ratings than original tires. Never exceed the speed rating printed on the tire.
All four snow tires must match in size, brand, tread pattern, and construction.
Studded snow tires may be used for additional traction on icy roads, but legality varies by region; check local regulations before installation.
Keep in mind that studded tires may offer poorer performance on dry or wet roads compared to non-studded snow tires.
