3. Position the lap belt low and snug across the hips.

4. Pull the shoulder belt toward the retractor to remove slack.

Ensure the shoulder belt is routed over your shoulder and across your chest.

The three-point belts in the front passenger and rear seats operate in two modes:

The ELR mode allows the belt to extend and retract during normal driving. It locks during rapid deceleration or certain impacts.

The ALR mode (used for child restraints) locks the belt fully for installation. Once activated, the belt will not extend again until fully retracted and unbuckled.

The ALR mode should be used only for child restraint installation. Activating it during normal use may cause discomfort and may also affect front passenger air bag operation.

WARNING

When fastening seat belts, make sure the seatbacks are securely latched. Unlatched seatbacks may cause injury in sudden stops or collisions.

Shoulder belt height adjustment (for front seats)

The shoulder belt anchor height should be adjusted to the position best suited for you to ensure proper protection while driving the Nissan Rogue.

To adjust, press the adjustment button, then slide the shoulder belt anchor to the desired height so the belt crosses the center of your shoulder.

The belt should stay clear of your face and neck without slipping off your shoulder.

Release the adjustment button to lock the shoulder belt anchor securely in position.

The available height adjustment range may vary slightly depending on the model and configuration of your Nissan Rogue.
