Speed Adjust by Route is a feature of the ProPILOT Assist system on vehicles equipped with a built-in Map locator, including the Nissan Rogue.

When active on limited-access freeways, Speed Adjust by Route uses road information from the Map locator system to automatically adjust vehicle speed based on road curvature in freeway interchanges and curves. The system may not reduce speed for all situations, and the driver may still need to apply brakes manually.

When the Nissan Rogue exits curves or freeway interchanges, the vehicle will accelerate back to the previously set speed.

When active, an icon appears in the vehicle information display.

How to enable/disable Speed Adjust by Route:

Vehicle information display

Type A:

Settings → Driver Assistance → Speed Adjust by Route → ON/OFF

Type B:

Settings → Driver Assistance → Intelligent Cruise → Speed Adjust by Route → ON/OFF

NOTE:

The system will not operate while the accelerator pedal is pressed.
The system may not function depending on the selected following distance to the vehicle ahead.
System settings are retained even if the engine is restarted.
The Speed Adjust function will activate when Steering Assist with HD map data is active, even if Speed Adjust by Route is turned off in the display settings.

WARNING

The following are system limitations for Speed Adjust by Route. Failure to follow these limitations can result in serious injury or death:

There are inherent limitations to Speed Adjust by Route system capability.
The system does not function in all driving, traffic, weather, or road conditions. The driver must stay alert, drive safely, and remain in control of the Nissan Rogue at all times.
Speed Adjust by Route does not bring the vehicle to a full stop. The driver must brake when necessary.
Speed Adjust by Route does not function for entrance or exit ramps.
The driver is responsible for selecting a safe speed, obeying traffic laws, and monitoring surrounding traffic.
Speed Adjust by Route does not function in Hawaii or U.S. island territories.
System performance may vary in certain road and traffic conditions and may result in unexpected speed changes. The driver must always maintain manual control.
Examples include:
- When the Map locator system cannot connect to the server.
- When the Map locator license is expired.
- When map data is outdated or unavailable.
- When driving in regions not covered by the Map locator system.
- When driving on newly constructed or temporary roads.
- When driving near road splits or complex freeway interchanges.
- When driving in severe weather or poor road conditions.
