Basic information
The chassis control system in the Nissan Rogue uses an electric control module that manages the following functions:
Intelligent Trace Control
This feature analyzes the driver’s steering, acceleration and braking inputs, then adjusts brake pressure at individual wheels to help the Nissan Rogue follow the intended cornering line and enhance overall responsiveness.
The level of brake intervention varies based on the mode selected through the Drive Mode Selector. If the VDC system is turned off, Intelligent Trace Control is also automatically deactivated.
If Intelligent Trace Control is not working correctly, the master warning light will illuminate and the message “Chassis Control System Error” will be displayed on the vehicle information screen.
Should this chassis control warning appear, the Nissan Rogue may not be benefiting from Intelligent Trace Control. Have the system inspected as soon as possible. It is recommended to visit a NISSAN dealer for service.
WARNING
Intelligent Trace Control may not work effectively in all driving conditions. Always stay alert and drive carefully.
During operation, you may feel brake pedal pulsation or hear noise. This indicates normal Intelligent Trace Control activity. You may also feel slight deceleration, which is part of the system’s intended function and not a malfunction.
Active Ride Control
This system detects upper body motion and adjusts brake pressure at all four wheels to enhance ride comfort.
Its purpose is to reduce uncomfortable vertical movement when driving the Nissan Rogue over uneven or undulating road surfaces. If the VDC system is turned off, Active Ride Control will also turn off.
If the chassis control warning message appears, Active Ride Control may not be functioning properly. Have the system checked promptly. A NISSAN dealer is recommended for proper diagnosis and repair.
WARNING
Active Ride Control may not be effective depending on road or driving conditions. Always operate the Nissan Rogue with care and attention.
When Active Ride Control is active, brake pedal pulsation or noise may occur. This is normal and shows that the system is functioning correctly. You may also feel slight deceleration, which is not a malfunction.
